We’re hiring! We are looking for a PhD candidate on an interdisciplinary project on Climate Advocacy.
The aim is to understand how climate advocates contribute to community-based climate adaptation and which psychological, socio-spatial and institutional conditions enhance their ability to mobilise fellow community members and realise change.
We expect the PhD to theorize on climate advocacy by integrating literature from spatial sciences and environmental and social psychology. Empirically the PhD is expected to investigate the drivers, roles and (mobilisation) strategies of climate advocates using mixed-methods such as questionnaire studies, experiments, case-study analysis, interviews and workshops, zooming in on examples of community action in Friesland and Groningen in the Northern part of the Netherlands.
