Despite citizens being increasingly impacted by climate change and the energy transition, average people are typically excluded from the governance of the energy transition.

In their paper “Citizens’ creative capital in energy governance: enacting inclusive energy governance in the Netherlands and France”, PhD candidate Adrien Chanteloup and co-authors assistant professor Lea Diestelmeier and professor Goda Perlaviciute interviewed Dutch and French citizens about what they thought a just energy transition could look like.
